I want the browser to switch immediately to the newly opened tab when dragging a link to the tab bar or when right clicking on the link and selecting "open in new tab". When Ctrl-clicking a link I want the browser to open the new tab without switching focus to it. Is there a setting or an add-on that can do this?

The tab utilities extension does work for what I am looking for. However at the time of posting, certain features of the extension are broken to the point of requiring me to disable it until it is updated.
