Flash 11.2.202.425 is the current for Linux as 11.2.202.424 and earlier will give the message. The older Flash is not disabled completely but Click to play.

Check the Flash version at http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/ as it is up to date while the Plugin check page is manually updated.

Flash Player Plugin on Linux 11.2.202.424 and lower (click-to-play) has been blocked for your protection. https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/blocked/p796

Current versions of the Flash player plugin are at https://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/distribution3.html

I see. However, the link I posted shows 11.2.202.424 as the last version, and Flash Player's site shows 11.2.202.425 as the latest.(Ubuntu's repository has appearently not recived the latest version yet.)

As I said the Plugin check page that Mozilla has needs to be updated as it is done manually and not automatic so sometimes it is behind on what it checks for as current version.

To check Flash version you should use http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/ instead.

If I recall the new Flash versions were out on Dec 9 and the blocklist was done on Dec 11.

Same problem here on Win7, 64-bit.

Flash games not showing up, instead the error shown in attached image. When I click Check for Updates, Firefox tells me it's up to date. Shockwave Flash version 15.0.0.239.

Any other info you need for troublehshooting?

thanks  :-)

Next, I went to my Add-On Manager, where it shows my version is out of date. When I click "Update Now", I get this: https://blocklist.addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/blocked/p178 But when I follow the link there to go to the plugin check page, it's again showing I am up to date!

So my version 15.0.0.239 either IS or IS NOT the current version, depending on which mozilla page I look at!

What I really want to do is to be able to use my Flash player! How can I do that?

I went to the Adobe site, and manually updated. But I'm still not able to open a flash game/video. Is Firefox still somehow blocking it? The new version number isn't showing up in Add-On Manager.

You may have multiple versions installed if you have not removed the older versions. http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/uninstall-flash-player-windows.html#main_Download_the_Adobe_Flash_Player_uninstaller

15.0.0.239 is Not the current version of Flash 15.0 as there has been 15.0.0.242 which is on blocklist also and 15.0.0.246 which is not on blocklist as it is not vulnerable since.

As I said the Plugin check page is basically useless when it is not up to date on what version to check for as current.

Flash 16.0.0.235 and 13.0.0.259 ESR for Windows/Mac are at https://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/distribution3.html

You can see what versions are blocked (due to being vulnerable) at https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/blocked/

Ok, I followed the instructions and unistalled Flash Player. Then I reinstalled it, apparently successfully.

Add-Ons Manager now says I have version 16.0.0.235

But now when I try to play a Flash game, the error message is gone, but it says I don't have flash player installed at all!

Ok, after a few minutes, it finally gave me an option to activate, and now everything is running ok!

Thanks  :-)

I'll have to bring this up again. The plugin page shows that Flash Player is "Potentially Vulnable" and the update button takes me to http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/ which downloads the same version to my system as the one on the plugin check page.
