I had an old computer that is no longer in use and I can't retrieve my old Firefox icon to transfer the bookmarks. Any way to retrieve my old bookmarks to my new laptop. Old computer was a Windows XP and the new is Windows 8.1.

The only way to get access to the bookmarks used on that computer is to access the Firefox profile folder on that computer and backup the files that you need to access this data to an external drive.

Maybe you can put the hard drive in an external enclosure that you can connect via an USB port.
