Why printer prints PDF web page in hieroglyphics

more options

When i print a PDF web page it sometimes prints in hieroglyphics as in my screenshot , not text. Other formats and ordinary web pages are printing ok. Any ideas please? I see that selecting "print as image" may fix the problem , but i can`t find that when i go to file/print advanced as suggested. I have the latest version of Adobe Reader and my printer, i bought yesterday new. Any ideas please?

When you first install Firefox, it uses a built-in viewer PDF by default. This viewer uses Firefox's print dialog instead of Adobe's print dialog.

You may want to try switching to the Adobe Acrobat plugin to display your PDF. Then you can use either the floating bar print icon or press the Esc key to display the plugin menu bar to print.
