AFAIK then Firefox has never stored the website URL or domain as part of saved form data, only the name of the field is stored. This would make it possible to store for instance an email address that would be available on other pages if the involved field would have a common name.

Would it be possible by any chance to save the website name as well? This would be helpful in case of say, credit card number where a person may have several credit cards and wishes to select one of them based on an entry in a similar website.

Would u suggest any tools that may solve this problem?

The add-on form history control best guesses the website for which data is stored but it isn't always correct.

Firefox would never store a credit card number. Some checks are done and when such a check confirms that the number might be a credit card number then this data isn't stored.
