By accident I turned on Private Browsing. I don't want it EVER and I don't see any way to disable it--can you help?
For years I have set Firefox so that History does not show any sites visited.
Today, completely by accident, I turned on Private Browsing. I don't EVER want it, but I see no way to disable it without downloading some magical "Disabling" add-on whose description seems to say that if I use the add-on, I'll be forced to open History again, which I do not want. I have Win10 and I'm the ONE AND ONLY person who sees or uses this computer, in case that's important. I never imagined it would be impossible to turn off Private Browsing with as simply as I turned it on, with a click. Is there a way out?

Could you check the Options page:
"3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Options > Privacy
If the tab has "Firefox will: Never remember history" change that to "Firefox will: Use custom settings for history" and uncheck the box for "Always use private browsing mode"
After Firefox restarts, you can turn off the categories you don't want saved.
Does that get you where you want to be?
