Microsoft Office applications like Excel and Outlook support 'automation' where, let's say Outlook, can be called from within another program using the CREATEOBJECT() command. Subsequent commands can populate the email recipient, subject, body, add any attachments and display Outlook fully ready for additional comments. Not as far as I know, but you can build an email message via the command line.
