Is there a reason my history has been deleted?

I opened up Firefox today to notice all of my browser history has been deleted since up until yesterday evening. I'm pretty sure I didn't do this myself, so is there a reason this might have happened? I've checked and Firefox last updated on 11 Feb so it doesn't seem to be that it was lost in an update.

Any help would be much appreciated.

There could have been a problem with the places.sqlite database if you or someone else that used the computer didn't do it. You would need a backup copy of places.sqlite (possibly from a Time Machine backup) to restore the history. Note that places.sqlite stores bookmarks and history.
