when trying to access facebook i get the following The owner of www.facebook.com has configured their website improperly. To protect your information from being stolen, Firefox has not connected to this website.

This site uses HTTP Strict Transport Security (HSTS) to specify that Firefox only connect to it securely. As a result, it is not possible to add an exception for this certificate.

hi, what is the error code shown when you click the "advanced" button on the error message & what security software are you using?

An error occurred during a connection to www.facebook.com. The server uses key pinning (HPKP) but no trusted certificate chain could be constructed that matches the pinset. Key pinning violations cannot be overridden. Error code: MOZILLA_PKIX_ERROR_KEY_PINNING_FAILURE

The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified.
Please contact the website owners to inform them of this problem.

hi, researching this issue on the web it appears that some users of opendns seem to be affected - are you using that dns server intentionally? if so you might want to try switching to a different dns provider like google's one: https://developers.google.com/speed/public-dns/docs/using

if this doesn't apply to you, next to the security software already in place, please run a scan with various other security tools like the free version of malwarebytes, adwcleaner & eset online one-time scanner.
