I have unchecked the "Remember logins for sites" check box under the security options; however firefox still retains the login ID. I don't want this to occur. What is going on?

Having more than one version of a program may cause issues. You must remove the older programs. Then get the current full installer.

Type about:preferences#security<enter> in the address bar.

To check the passwords you have listed, press Saved Logins.


If the Password Manager is not being used, then it could be the built-in form filler (or an add-on).

Type about:preferences#privacy<enter> in the address bar. The button next to History, select Use Custom Settings.

At the bottom of the page, turn on Clear History When Firefox Closes. At the far right, press the Settings button. Turn on Cache and Form And Search History.
