Click FF "History" in the toolbar>>> select: "This Month" on 29 December 2016 and document appears that lists FF History from TODAY (12/29/16 back to 12/21/16) which is NOT A MONTH ! Why it do dat' i.e., not display back to 12/1/16 given the MONTH of December starts on the 1st and not on the 21st ?

If you do not have older history then that history has been deleted, either by you or someone else. It could be possible that there has been a problem with the places.sqlite database and that a new places.sqlite had been created.

Did you update Firefox around that 12/21/16 date?

You can check the update history via the "Help -> Troubleshooting Information" page.

Profile data can be removed or not recorded several ways;

  • 1) Running Firefox in Private Mode (nothing is recorded)
  • 2) Privacy settings; (Type about:preferences#privacy<enter> in the address bar.)
  • 3) Many disk cleaners and anti-virus type programs can remove data from browsers. Open their settings and have them leave the browsers alone.
  • 4) Mal-ware.
