Cannot add the extension: Screenwise Meter
I emailled Screenwise and this is what they responded with: Please uninstall the Screenwise Meter from your Mozilla FireFox, restart your device and install the Browser Extension again . Download Link: https://panelresearch.google.com/browser/extension/download?panel=us-gfk I use the above link and it starts to download and then it gives me the following error: The add on could not be downloaded because of a connection failure. The extension was on my browser before I updated to the new version of Firefox.

Hi
I have searched for an add-on by that name in addons.mozilla.org and have been unable to find it.
Please can you confirm the name of the add-on and we can have another look for you.
I had it installed before I updated to the new version of Firefox. Since the update I can't even use the browser. The only thing I get is connection is not secure. I click on the help in the toolbar and it won't even open your own help menu. All is get is the same thing connection is not secure. I reached out to screenwise to see if they could help me and below is the email I received from them. If you are not able to help me fix it I will just have to remove it from my computer.

I have already tried that link. I cannot open it. Every web page I try to open all I get is connection is not secure. Even when I try to use Firefox help to solve the problem it will not open that webpage either. Since the update it does not work at all.
Sorry I can not help you then, Try : uninstall Firefox. Then Delete the Mozilla Firefox Folders in C:\Program Files and C:\Program Files(x86) Then restart system. Then run Windows Disk Cleanup. Then run it again and click the button that says Cleanup System Files. Note: your Firefox Profile is saved. But you should make a back up before you do : https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/back-and-restore-information-firefox-profiles
Reinstall with Current Release Firefox 57.0 with a Full Version Installer https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/all/

Okay, thanks, I have done this twice. I will just have to remove it. Firefox was the best browser, wish I could go back to the previous version.
unfortunately 56.0.2 is no longer safe to use for every day use do to secuity issues, but 52.5.0 ESR is. It will continue to get security updates until May 2018, and you can download and install it from this page: https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/organizations/all/ Note : Legacy Extensions will be deleted or removed in any version update after May 2018.
You should make a backup of your Profile before going back and just because: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/back-and-restore-information-firefox-profiles
