I want to Remove Bing

more options

As the title suggests I would like to remove Bing. the other day I downloaded something that must have slipped in a Bing program. Afterwords my firefox homepage was Bing and search Engine Bing. I quickly uninstalled all the programs associated with this. I removed the Bing from my search options on Firefox but lo and behold everytime I open my firefox its back to being my default search engine. I have searched for it on my computer. Looked for it on mozilaa it isnt a add on because I have none. The only option I haven't tried is uninstalling Firefox which I am hesitant to do because I have a lot of Passwords saved on websites and a HUGE amount of bookmarks.

Change your default search engine by typing about:preferences#search in your URL bar, pressing enter. Then choose your favorite search engine from the drop-down menu.

Was it Lavasoft Web Companion?

If you notice that the default search engine changes to "Bing Search Engine" instead of "Bing" -- this is visible on the Options page, Search panel -- focus on the program folder infection section of cor-el's reply here:
