Mails in thunderbird send twice
Due to a problem with my internet provider, I had to switch my oldest e-mail address from a pop server to an Imap server and linked the old address to a hotmail address. For windows mail, this forwarding works correctly, but I can not edit or forward deleted mails that have been deleted (but stored on hard disk) afterwards. This problem is solved with thunderbird but a weird problem is that every mail (forwarded or new) is 2 times sent. With a large number of mails, however, this is disturbing. Can this double forwarding be solved in one way or another? Another problem is that I can not log in to the support service of mozilla, firefox can do this but not thunderbird, delete a new account or re-create it

Some providers already save a copy of sent messages so you need to tell Thunderbird to stop. Go to Account Settings-Copies and Folder and unchecked the box to save a copy.

Thank you, this was a solution that I have been looking for for months. I still have a very big problem that I have not been able to come up with a solution for. If I want to ask a question on the mozilla support forum I always get the message that I have to log in first. Then I log in with my 100% correct username and password and there is the error message again. I just can not figure out what I'm doing wrong. With my previous question (double mail) I have once entered and that again, but I do not know how and why this has succeeded. In firefox I get the message that I am already logged in but if I ask the question then I am apparently not logged. What is the possible solution here? Thanks for the help.
If you were not logged in we would not be having this conversation.
