Have not use Safari for many years on my Mac (Firefox is my preference).

Within the last few days my MAC/Safari has now taken over my default browser Firefox. This is happening when I open all new links (from a word doc, email, etc)...even if Firefox is open.

Tried a few things: - confirmed firefox is the default browser - unable to change setting in Mac system preferences/general/default web browser (only check mark available) - can't find a setting to turn off safari
