I updated to version 60.0.1 yesterday and almost all of my extensive bookmarks list has disappeared. Help!
Have tried restarting. Have tried profiles but the only one there is the default created yesterday with the update - no others there. I use bookmarks all the time to record things important to me. Please help. I am on windows 10 64 bit. Have had no problems up until now. Oh - yesterday I also updated windows 10 - after I had updated windows.

Thank you for your reply. Suddenly all my bookmarks reappeared! I don't know how but I am sorted now. In relation to flashplayer I stopped updating that some time ago because of the amount of processing power it was using and I find I can do without it anyway. I have also found today that my firefox is running very slowly, especially when loading you tube videos ;)

Hi, separate security issue, please update Flash 28.0 r0 Flash Player Version: 29.0.0.171 Current Version https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/otherversions/ Step 1: Select Operating System Step 2: Select A Version (Firefox, . . . .) Note: Other software is offered in the download. <Windows Only>
Please look on the Desktop for a folder called OldFirefoxProfiles, also please look on the Desktop for a txt file that Windows may have created of uninstalled programs as sometimes a clue in that.

Hi, Regardless if Flash is on your system keep it updated as there is several hundred vulnerabilities in each out of date Flash that can be hacked. Or uninstall it. Flash does not run unless you enable it to run . Or it should not as settings were changed :
For bookmarks and Profile please do this :
- https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/export-firefox-bookmarks-to-backup-or-transfer
For processing power please check this : go to the Firefox 3 Bar Menu --> Options --> Privacy & Security panel and under Permissions check (put a check mark in the box) the setting to Prevent Accessibility Services from accessing your browser.
Use Windows Task Manager to monitor CPU and Ram, should run anywhere from 800-2500megs
If is still a issue : Go the 3 Bar Menu then Options --> General --> Performance and untick everything. change the recommended size lower then see how it runs. Note: 1 = No Multiprocessor = slow again. Try 2 or higher, or lower again. Restart Firefox after making these changes please. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/performance-settings
Please see how that works out.
Hi Pkshadow I did everything except the performance issues task - not confident about that one. Thank you for your quick replies. I backed up my bookmarks now and uninstalled flash. Also checked accessibility services. Cheers
