Some websites use small mp4 chunks for video previews. If autoplay is set to 'false', these previews don't work. I found one example here (a video hosting site): https://www.aparat.com/ Can this be considered a bug? Or is there a way to enable autoplay selectively on some websites?

Thanks.

Separate Security Issue, please update your Flash 28.0 r0 Flash Player Version: 30.0.0.113 Current Version https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/otherversions/ Step 1: Select Operating System Step 2: Select A Version (Firefox, . . . .) Note: Other software is offered in the download. <Windows Only>

Hi, that could/would happen at it is known, usually you are told if you got the info to turn that off from here. You then need to reverse it for sites you want to see that have that, Or you reverse it and you can try a Extension where maybe able to toggle it on and off but I believe Firefox would need to be restarted.:

Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.

Autoplay and video previews are two different things altogether. Preview is loaded only when hovering over the video thumbnail. So i would say that disabling autoplay should not stop previews from loading.

Disabling is known to break some websites that use JavaScript to start the player and that is why we not recommend it or at least add a warning. In some cases you might consider this pref:

  • media.block-autoplay-until-in-foreground
