Hello there,

I'm using the latest version of FIrefox on my Android phone (Samsung Galaxy S7, Android v. 8.0.0) and I can't play videos if "allow autoplay" is blocked in settings; that is, even if I press play manually nothing happens. However, if I change the setting to enabled, pressing play will work as normal. I have not tested this on multiple websites but this is at least true for www.rockpapershotgun.com. How can this be fixed?

I've tested it on this page: https://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2018/12/10/john-romero-making-new-doom-episode/

It works just like you've explained on Android and on Desktop as well. In the "block autoplay" mode they hide the video behind some layer, so you can't press the play button.

So they have a bug, or they designed it that way.
