Hi. I've been a loyal user to Mozilla Firefox for many years now. My concern is whenever I updated the browser from the past, It deletes my settings and extensions. That's whats keeping me from updating it for quite sometime now. So Im simply afraid to do it. For example. Part of my research entails an extension that downloads and converts from a video site. After an update this is removed. I have to re-install everytime. I so got tired of this. Its so annoying everytime it asks for updating, I have to opt out. Is there some way I can update this without messing up my settings? Has Mozilla already worked out a version without messing with my settings? Thank you for the help.

The latest firefox unless your extensions are up to date and works with latest releases will be disabled because they are out of date with security checks. This isn't a firefox problem but a developer issue of not updating to correspond with updated Browser security. If your extensions aren't working you should contact the developer to update so it works with latest Browser if not then you will have to find another extension that works. Settings for the most part don't change - I updated my browser when updates come and my settings don't change. If yours are changing then you got something going on this isn't the browser doing the changes. Also this is firefox browser End user Help forum not something like a help request ticket site.
