I want to delete more then 50 local folders and local subfolders but I see only a "delete" menu item if I select one local folder. I don't need a copy of this deleted content so I will set thunderbird account settings to "immediately remove".

Will the subfolders and it's content also be deleted when i delete a local folder?

I have to delete this folders because I will restore a system image of a month ago so the local folders on my thunderbird will be a month old and I have to import elm's of the my current thunderbird client

why not back up your current Thunderbird (As is) and once you restore your image, replace the relevant folders and files to bring Thunderbird to exactly as it is now.

thanks for your answer Mattt. Thats indeed a better solution. But do I have to replace only the subfolder C:\Users\Beheerder\AppData\Roaming\Thunderbird\Profiles\w0sxf8pl.default\Mail\Local Folders\ to replace my local folders or is it more safe to replace (first remove) the whole thunderbird folder? I use one imap account.
