NOTHING makes it go away permanently. stupid. I don't use AVG password service. I'm continually getting a really stupid message at the top of my firefox almost every day that I have to close, about their password service and an issue. it does NOT apply to me. closing it doesn't help, hitting Learn doesn't help, nor does the third option. fix this stupid thing!

I was having this problem too. My options for survey settings was already unchecked. I had to check that option (opt-in to surveys) and then uncheck the option (opt-out of surveys). Once I did that, the notification message went away.

Hi pghpghpgh, the AVG message was sent out a couple weeks ago using Heartbeat, which is the same mechanism used for occasional surveys. I guess you would give it zero stars at this point.

I have no idea why it is repeating for you. Perhaps it would help to disable studies. Please see this article for more information: About Studies.

I had to enable studies for that error they had recently. I have disabled it now, but this isn't about a study. this is a warning for users of AVG passwords, which I am not. just so sick of having the message at the top every few days over and over. I'll let you know if this solves it. I hope so!
