Is it possible to have Firefox name files (1) if they already exist?

I daily have to save images from the internet into 1 folder and it sometimes happens that an image already exists in the folder (same name). Instead of calling the file jsah2 (1) it just calls it jsah2 and I have to click 2 times more per such image. Is there a way to have firefox add (1) to files that already exist when saving/downloading?

I come from Google Chrome where this wasn't an issue (not that it's that big of a deal either way) so I'm just curious.

Thanks in advance.

A download manager might be able to do that.

Go to the Mozilla Add-ons Web Page {web Link} (There’s a lot of good stuff here) and search for what you want.

Note that Firefox will do this if you download files automatically instead of using the 'ask' choice.
