No issues when using another browser to upload an image. After completing a sync with MS OneDrive, my Firefox's File Upload folders are all empty despite my MS OneDrive being up-to-date. Every folder stills how the "still syncing" symbol, yet they there is no syncing going on at all. Why the incompatibility? Not happy with FF. Needs attention for a fix.

I think your best to use IE or Edge when connecting to MS OneDrive. It is most likely due to settings that is made for IE or Edge to work with MS OneDrive otherwise you need to contact MS Support about connections to OneDrive problems from Browser other then IE or Edge.

What CJ, I've been uploading files and folders to OneDrive using Firefox without any issues.

Let's try something simple, like clearing your cache and cookies.

  1. Click the Library button 57 library icon and choose History.
  2. In the History menu, choose Clear Recent History.
  3. In the Time Range to clear drop-down, select Everything.
  4. Click the arrow next to Details to display the list of items that can be cleared.
  5. Select both Cookies and Cache.
  6. Click Clear Now.

Thank you for your assistance; however, all of my efforts are fruitless. My history is cleared in the manner you suggested every day (several times). I am attempting to change my account image in Firefox and my MS account. OneDrive merged successfully when using Edge or Google to upload an image; it is only when I use Firefox (which is always, since this is my browser that I use) that the File Upload is missing all contents in my subfolders. Also, all folders are still showing the "still syncing" symbols. File Explorer is perfect, my online OneDrive folders are perfect. Just File Upload, which is a feature of Firefox, is a problem. Firefox should be concerned that their users may be experiencing issues of incompatibility in using the upload feature in Firefox; this is an issue between MS and Firefox yet who is actually going to fix it?

This issue is not a MS issue as I have been dealing with a OneDrive expert at great length about this. Here is the representative's exact quote (copied and pasted) from a recent email: "The OneDrive sub folders is not empty as the pictures/files are showing when we open via File explorer and it also works via Internet explorer, you may give it a try using other browser apart from Internet explorer. As this is Firefox which thinks the folder it empty, it seems the Firefox has a glitch which thinks the sub-folders are empty whereas it is not." All of my files have all properly uploaded to my OneDrive account and they are all present in my laptop's File Explorer. No issues when using any other browser; problem only exists in Firefox. Looks like we have Firefox incompatibility issue. Can I look forward to a fix?

If you close Firefox, then start Firefox in Safe Mode, does the problem still occur? To start in Safe Mode, go to Help > Restart with Add-ons Disabled.

If the problem does not occur in Safe Mode, then you can disable your extensions one-by-one until you find out which one is causing the problem. For more info, visit Troubleshoot extensions, themes and hardware acceleration issues to solve common Firefox problems.

Thank you for your continued attention to my FIrefox issue. I started in Safe Mode as you suggested, then went into my account to attempt to change my photo and everything is exactly like it was...all folders showing OneDrive syncing and subfolders are empty. This is very frustrating since this is only happening on one laptop; the other one has no issues when I access the File Upload folders.

Could you please try refreshing Firefox. This will purge a lot of your Firefox files, while retaining most of your personal data. For instructions, check out the following article: Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings

I ran the refresh and then tried again to change the image on my Firefox account. The subfolders remain empty. Incidentally, I have also uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox to no avail.

Thank you for your assistance. This has been ongoing now for quite some time without correction. I have taken a screeshot of the console (all this is waaaay over my head and I'm not sure what you are asking) and attached it. Hope this helps.
