Accepting an update to 68.2.1 hid/wiped out my profile and emails and left an unlinked TB window behind. How do I get TB to funciton and recover the profile?

Using Windows 10, when I accepted an update to TB 68.2.1 and then opened TB, the window was empty - no emails, no folders, no ability to use the drop-down menus. The menus were there but not linked to anything. Trying to use Troubleshooting Information, for example, led nowhere, thus eliminating the ability to use many of the solutions posted here. I've subsequently uninstalled and reinstalled TB 68.2.1 and located my profile and copied it into TB, but that accomplished nothing. TB does occasionally notify me that new emails have arrived (via the temporary box in the lower right corner), so that indicates that the program is on the computer. How does one make the TB window function and restore the profile?

Do Help > Troubleshooting > click about:profiles.

Please tell us, what profile names do you see there, and which one is in use? (screen shot is fine)
