Closing "Downloads" tab in private window silently terminates running downloads
I had a thing happen that surprised me:
- Open private window
- Download a file (slow enough to give time for testing)
- Open "Downloads" (becomes a tab in private mode, filling the main browser window)
- Close any other private tabs
- Close "Downloads" tab
- Downloads are terminated without query
My expectation was that the user would be queried in some way.

I found a related bug report, that's probably it: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1474743
I also use a tab extension as in the last comment of that thread, and likewise mine is disabled for Private windows.

Hi Andrei, if you close all tabs in your browser, the browser is being closed and all actions are canceled. Try to leave one tab open, until the downloading process is finished.
I'm aware of that possibility, but I'm talking about the downloads being killed, not the window closing. In the latter case one would at least get an idea what happened.
Shouldn't the browser query the user instead of silently killing any running downloads? That seems like something that could be improved usability wise, no?
