Hotlinking images in Thunderbird
I frequently add thumbnail images to my emails for pictures I've taken. In order for the recipients to view the large, full-resolution image, I have to include an html link. Is there any way to hotlink the thumbnail image so all they have to do is click on the image to access the full-res image like you would in a webpage?

When you insert the thumbnail in the message, from Insert/Image..., click the Link tab on the Image Properties window and enter the link for the full-resolution image, either to the html page with the image or the image file directly. That would open the link in the default browser. If the link points to the image, the recipient could right-click the link, Save Link As..., instead of opening it in the browser.

Thanks. It worked just fine. I've been dragging and dropping the image. Is there a way to link the image if it's D&Ded ?
If an image is inserted by drag and drop or Ctrl+C/V, just double-click the image to open Image Properties.
Thanks again! You've been a big help! Please have a nice day. Regards, John
