I have an environment where the local domain is at the 3rd level, for example: prv.foo.com. Individual hosts are at the 4th level, for example: bar.prv.foo.com. Firefox believes the host is at the 3rd level and remembers passwords at this level, presumably because it's going by the TLD.

How can I tell Firefox an individual domain has hosts at a different level?

Firefox believes the host is at the 3rd level and remembers passwords at this level, presumably because it's going by the TLD. You can try to create the login in the Password Manager (about:logins) yourself for the 3rd level domain to see whether Firefox will use it for the 4th level.

I tried that and yes, it does show me the 3rd level password on the 4th level. This is the behavior I am trying to avoid. I have many servers at the 4th level and I don't want to see other domains.

Then create a password for each 4th level domain.
