Since I have purchased my new laptop I am no longer always given the option to open new links in new tabs rather then new windows. I have my settings/ preferences selected to open new links in new tabs. This is important to me. It is frustrating. I do hope there is an easy fix. Thank you.

You can look at these prefs on the about:config page to have finer control.

Normal Links:

  • browser.link.open_newwindow
    1:current tab; 2:new window; 3:new tab;

JavaScript Links:

  • browser.link.open_newwindow.restriction
    0:divert always; 1:divert never; 2:divert no features

That doesn't seem easy. I think I will have to stop using Mozilla. Sadly.
