Is there a way to customize settings so that my address bar uses one search engine and my search bar uses another? For instance, can I set my browser so that when I type something into the address bar it will using the Yahoo! Search engine, but if I type something into the Search Bar next to it that the Search Bar uses Google Search?

I doubt this is an option the browser offers, but thought I'd ask to be sure.

For the address bar you can select a search engine via the '@' operator (Yahoo: keyword -> @y).

This doesn't actually address my question, directly, or really at all.

Like you already assumed, this is not possible in Firefox (was possible long ago in the past), so we can only offer alternatives/workarounds like I posted above. Choosing a different search engine for the search bar is a lot more effort than using a keyword search in the location bar.
