I have lots of emails coming in to this account and one other gmail account. I have purchased Mailwasher Pro to help me filter out what is good (wanted) and what is not. They have gone overboard to help me set the account up and I have followed all their suggestions but still cannot use their program. I assume it may be with some setting I have with Thunderbird but I cannot determine what it is. Is there some setting in Thunderbird which would give "permission" to Mailwasher Pro to access my gmail accounts through Thunderbird? Please advise if you can. And up front, I thank you.

I use mailwasher pro and all it does is have an option to start the desired email client. It checks mail independently of the client. That is, Mailwasher does not access the account through Thunderbird. The preferred use is to let mailwasher read the mail first so you can flag any malware or spam prior to starting thunderbird.
