How to force http instead of https
I have tried most of those: https://superuser.com/questions/1721511/firefox-allow-http-urls-and-not-force-https
Nothing seems to work and Firefox121 always resorts to https when attempting to reach the website, I verified with other browsers and http works fine.
Which other steps can be taken to try and finally get firefox121 to use http instead of https. Thanks.

Try changing this preference to false. browser.fixup.fallback-to-https

Do you have enabled HTTPS-Only Mode ? If not, then try to enable and create an 'off' exception, either via the padlock icon or via the Settings page.
You can try "Forget About This Site".
You can remove all data stored in Firefox for a specific domain via "Forget About This Site" in the right-click context menu of an history entry ("History -> Show All History" or "View -> Sidebar -> History").
Using "Forget About This Site" will remove all data stored in Firefox for this domain like history and cookies and passwords and exceptions and cache, so be careful. If you have a password or other data for that domain that you do not want to lose, make sure to backup this data or make a note.
You can't recover from this 'forget' unless you have a backup of involved files.
If you revisit a 'forgotten' website, data for that website will be saved once again.
Example site where this occurs?
The issue is now gone, I never managed to properly reach http, I think at one point I was close to but the local "smart" firewall (safebrowsing.io I think)was not letting through even though it had an option to go through with the dangerous choice.
