When I ask for new tab, it opens next the currently open tab

When I ask for a duplicate tab, it opens a new tab 5, 10, 20 tabs away. Why can't duplicate tab open a new tab adjacent to the currently open tab? Makes sense, right?

I can't' find an option to adjust this

Thanks

Note that you can duplicate a tab by holding the Ctrl key and drag the tab until you see the insert marker or middle-click the combined Stop/Reload button apart from using the tab context menu.

See also these prefs on the about:config page.

Duplicating a tab should create it adjacent to the existing tab.

Does it still happen in Troubleshoot Mode?
