Yesterday, I ran a format on my computer with Firefox in installed on it. When I tried to recover my settings, history and bookmarks later using sync after logging in to my account nothing happened. Can you please help me recover my data? Thanks in advance.

Is your data on another device? If not, then your data is gone. Sync is not a backup service. It's designed to allow users to share data across multiple devices and versions of Firefox. see screenshot

Sync is not a backup tool but it is a good sync/transfer/move tool

Unfortunately it's not. Is there any way to backup browsing data on the cloud for the future?

You will have to research cloud back up. I'm sure there are plenty of examples on YouTube. I was consider Nextcloud. I assume you have other devices. Just sync your data to another device like a backup. If my current laptop died right now, I can just boot up anther one with my data.
