I would like to connect to Suddenlink.net via Optimum.net. It does show up on Optimum.net account on web page. I have a screen shot of the constant results of my days of efforts. I have two other connections via gmail.com and it works fine. I have people who are still using Suddenlink emails to me and I would like to see them on Thunderbird. Thanks for the fine software and any help with this. //... Joe

Hi Joe Redd:

I don't have a suddenlink email account so I can't test this for you but based on: https://www.getmailbird.com/setup/access-suddenlink-net-via-imap-smtp (which is a 3rd party site so it could be wrong!) it looks like your settings are incorrect.

1. I believe username should be: wa8sie@suddenlink.net instead of wa8sie

2. And the imap hostname should be: imap.suddenlink.net instead of mail.optimum.net

3. And the SMTP hostname should be: smtp.suddenlink.net instead of mail.optimum.net

If the above does not work, please contact suddenlink support and ask them for the correct settings

Cheers!

...Roland
