All of a sudden my Firefox app is crashing. It will show the home screen fine but other than that, it crashes. It worked only an hour ago! I even deleted it and then redownloaded it via the App Store. It still crashes!

How can this be fixed? Or must I leave Firefox for good?

Hi

I am sorry to hear that Firefox for iOS is crashing. I hope that we can help resolve this for you. Before following the steps below, please make sure that you have updated both your iOS device and Firefox for iOS to the latest versions available.

As a first step, close down many of the tabs that you have open to as few as possible. Does this help reduce the incidence of a crash?

If this does not resolve the issue, open the iOS Settings app, select General then iPhone Storage. Find Firefox and select Offload App. Does this help?

Failing that, we will need to look into this in more detail with some logs from inside your copy of Firefox for iOS. This article will walk you through getting both crash logs and Firefox logs. When you have them, please file them here (a GitHub account is required) so that our developers can look into this further for you.

I hope that this helps.

Hi Paul, thank you for your response.

1. Correct, my iOS device is up to date 2. Yes, I verified my Firefox for iOS is the latest version available. 3. You wrote to close down many of the tabs I have open to as few as possible. On the Firefox app, I tried to close tabs but it crashed before I could close any. After I deleted Firefox and then downloaded it again from the app store, it still crashed even though I did not have many tabs open. 4. "Offload App" did not resolve the problem. Firefox still crashes. 5. I am using that article you sent for obtaining crash logs. What should my search term be? I typed in Firefox and nothing appeared even though Firefox keeps crashing. 6. I clicked the article for obtaining the Firefox log. However, the app crashes immediately after opening, thus I am unable to click 'settings' on the Firefox app. I cannot get the Firefox log.

What do you recommend for my next step? Thanks again for your time!
