When I browse the Net and suggested sites are reported it always has sites and company listings for Denver CO, I would like to change the default setting to be more local to me. Like Ogden, UT or at least Salt Lake CIty, UT. Can this be done?

You can do that serveral ways.

In the URL/address bar (works with Google as the default search engine) type, including quotation marks, "city:ogden plumber" (plumber is just an example; replace plumber in the example with a keyword or two).

On the Google search page -type just as above in the Google page search box, including the quotation marks -use the "Nearby/Customize Location" function after entering the keyword or two in the Google page search box. See: image at the bottom of my post.

I guess I didn't explain myself very well. I am not looking for a company or a specific site in a specific location. Firefox just volunteers that information for Denver CO for everything I search. If it is going to do that I want to change it so it will be specific to my local.

Whatever your search engine, Google or otherwise, that is used either in the Firefox Search Bar or the URL/address bar keyword lookup, your search engine, not Firefox, will return results in a very random manner.

If you want a nearby location, you need to include the city or state or other region in your search. I have shown you some alternatives. It's your choice as to whether you want to use the suggestions that I offered. Or, you can go on-line and search for information about how search engines work.
