I know that Firefox will open any number of web sites when you start it. I want to have the ability to choose between opening a preset number of sites and just one. For instance at the beginning of the day I want all my banking sites available when I start. Later in the day I want to open only say, Google. Is there any way to have Firefox do that?

I'm sure you'll find more than a few extensions that will let you do this easily (look for them at AMO), but the easiest way to do this, is to create bookmarks. If you want to open a bunch of different bookmarks at the same time, you can either tag them all with the same tag and open their tag, or put them in a folder and open the folder. Both with the tag or with the folder, you can either middle-click them or right-click them and select Open All in Tabs.

See these for more info:

I hope this helps.

Not exactly what you want, but an add-on that will open sites depending on the day and time is Page Scheduler. It adds a button to your toolbar, and when you select its Load option, it checks what sites you want to view at that time and loads them.

athank you all for your replies. I ended up using Morning Coffee which I found in the Add-ons. It suits my purposes perfectly.
