I'd like to transfer my bookmarks from my crashed computer to my new one. I can run the crashed computer (XP) in Safe Mode only and I can't get to Firefox to export my bookmarks. I need to copy the app data and manually move it to my new computer (running Windows 7). I tried moving my old Profile folder to the location of the Profile folder on my new computer, but nothing happened. I don't need anything other than my bookmarks - is there any hope of transferring them? These are bookmarks I've collected painstakingly over 5 years. I know, I know, should have backed them up. (I didn't realize I could.) Both computers are/were running Firefox 3.x.

Thanks!

You can copy the places.sqlite file from the old profile folder to your current profile folder. That file contains your bookmarks and history.

You need to ensure that you have the correct location for the profile folder, see the profiles article for details.
