I'm a keyboard user; I use alt+d all the time. Something has recently happened to cause that not to work most of the time. I'm not talking about when a plug-in like flash loads either; regular web pages. Ideas?

Does the alternative Ctrl +L to set focus to the location bar still work ?

It is possible that an extension is using the Alt + D keyboard shortcut.

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

Of course, it's been happening for quite some time, but as soon as I post it seems to stop. Ctrl+L does work. Will try other troubleshooting methods when it breaks again.
