I use Firefox in Windows 7.

Everything was just "peachy" and then.

And then the top line for "File, Edit, View, History, Bookmarks, Tools, and Help" just disappeared.

I have no idea what I may have done. The last time I use it was to check for updates, and there was one. I installed it.

Should I uninstall and reinstall?

Firefox 3.6+ versions have a feature to allow the user to hide the Menu bar.

Hit the Alt key to temporarily show the Menu bar, then open View > Toolbars and select Menu bar, so it has a check-mark.
The F10 can also be used on most PC's to temporarily reveal the Menu bar.
