This cant be this difficult. I have them saved in a "starred" favorites folder. I do not want to import from IE, I dont want to import from HTML I just want to copy these bookmarks to the new browser. I had a system crash and has to reinstall FF but I managed to keep the old favorites. I thought I had them transferred but it is just a pointer to the location on the desktop then they open a new window. I want to place them in the bookmarks or favorites nice and easy thats all. Please help

Sorry, Firefox just can't handle the "favorites" data in the manner in which it is stored by Windows, that data has to be "exported" in HTML format thru IE. bookmarks.html is the standard interchange format used by web browsers, every web browser I have ever used has had the ability to both import and export in that format.
