Firefox 2.0.0.20 is the last ever Firefox release for Mac OSX 10.3.9 and earlier versions.

So how do I update my Mozilla browser?

You can't without upgrading to a newer version of Mac OSX.

I cannot verify it myself, but [http //mac.oldapps.com /firefox.php?old_firefox=65 oldapps.com] reports that Firefox 3.0.13 requires OS X 10.3.9 or higher. Their download link is here: [http //mac.oldapps.com /firefox.php?old_firefox=65?download Firefox 3.0.13 on mac.oldapps.com]

I would attempt do the following steps in order:

  1. Download the Firefox 3 from the previous link
  2. Copy these instructions down somewhere else, then Quit Firefox (⌘Q)
  3. Open the downloaded file
  4. Instead of copying the new Firefox to your applications, first try running it without copying it anywhere
  5. If it runs and everything looks okay (your bookmarks and history are still there), then quit firefox again and copy it to your Applications folder

Regardless of how that goes, either 2.0 or 3.0 is the latest version of Firefox to work with OS X 10.3 and you won't be getting any updates in the future without upgrading to a later version of OS X.

oldapps is wrong, Firefox 3 requires at least OS X 10.4

You can't update Firefox unless you update your OS to OSX 10.4 or later.

Other browsers that you can look at:

psoplayer, originally when Firefox 3.0 was in development it was thought that 10.3.9 could support it and was actually on requirements page briefly. It was later found it could not before the 3.0 release came out. So in other words oldapps is wrong. Also Firefox 3.0.13 is still 3.0 but with security and some allowed stability fixes since and the last update was 3.0.19

It will be a waste of time for AmericanSp to even try it.

Oldapps is just a random unofficial download site that still does not have all of the versions of Firefox listed for Windows and Mac for example. There is no need to link to such sites when Mozilla hosts all releases for public download anyways.

I realize that Oldapps is an unofficial site and not necessarily correct in its information. I also would have preferred posting a link to something hosted by Mozilla if I had found one. Is there a place to go to find all previous versions of Firefox?

You can get all Firefox versions from ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/
