I lost my tool bar on top. I no longer can see the Bookmarks, Tools, or Help links. Where are they and how can I reset them? I had them at first but now I don't see them.

  • In Firefox 3.6 versions on Windows and Firefox 4 on Windows and Linux it's possible to hide the "Menu Bar" via "View > Toolbars" or via the right-click context menu of a toolbar.
  • Press F10 or press and hold the Alt key down to bring up the "Menu Bar" temporarily.
  • Go to "View > Toolbars" or right-click the "Menu Bar" or press Alt+V T to select which toolbars to show or hide (click on an entry to toggle the state).

Hi chrisdodt,

If you mean the toolbar that you can install like an add-on, for example, Google toolbar, you will have to install it again. If you mean the firefox toolbar, right-click the space where the toolbar should be, and check everything. To modify this, go to View - Toolbars - Customize. There you can modify your toolbar the way you like it!

Thank you so much for your answer. You gave very clear directions on how to solve the problem. Many times people know the answer but can not explain what to do in language that an inexperienced person can understand.
