I added keyword for search engines in search bar: for example, for You Tube, it is yt. In the search bar I enter, "yt Avatar" and it displays a Google search for the entry. Why are the keywords not working?

I am experiencing the same problem, but it looks like it's only the keyword "yt" that's not working in my case. For example if I use "ytube" instead, it will search just fine...

You can modify the pref keyword.URL on the about:config page to use Google's "I'm Feeling Lucky" or Google's "Browse By Name".

To open the about:config page, type about:config in the location (address) bar and press the "Enter" key, just like you type the url of a website to open a website.
If you see a warning then you can confirm that you want to access that page.
