Why would they need access to your clipboard, do you have to logged in, for this to happen, what is the link and what do you do to get the message?

I would first try:

Tools < Tabs > Content > Javacript turn on and Advanced settings on the right of that.

But your message sounds like

Without exact message text and without urls you make people grab at straws (or at least make guesses).
