i am trying to fill out a fafsa for college requirements(money). they saymy browser is not supported. they show a compatible browser to be the 3.5x and 3.6x browsers. i had the 4.0 and just updated to the 5.0 thinking i was way behind. tried the websited again...wont let me continue past the first page.

Install Firefox Portable 3.6.x to your hard drive and use that for the FAFSA website. By using the Portable version, you won't affect your current version of Firefox and will still be able to use it for all other web sites.
