You are currently using Firefox 6.0 to post your question. The current Release (not beta) version is 6.0.1 which corrects a security flaw due to some bad security certificates issue by DigiNator, a Netherlands based Certificate Authority.
If the screen Help > About Firefox shows just under the "Check for Updates button:
- "You are currently on the beta update channel", then you are currently subscribed to the beta channel.
- "You are currently on the release update channel", then you are currently subscribed to the release channel, not the beta channel.
If you are on the beta channel and wish to switch to the update channel, you need to download the current release version and install it.
- Current release version (choose OS and language): https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all.html
