Folders in pulldown bookmarks menu do not open
Mac OS 10.6.8, Firefox 7.0.1 My bookmarks pulldown menu is no longer completely functional. Some folders open, when I pass the cursor over them. Some do not. I don't know what caused this to happen, but I am suspicious about a link called unsorted bookmarks that appeared below my personal bookmarks folder. This link cannot be moved or deleted.

A possible cause is a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.
I am having a problem with all sites not pulling up when I click them on in History and Bookmarks (under Library folder) in Mac OS 10.6.8, Firefox 7.0.1. The title shows above the tabs, but the whole page freezes up. When I click the key to scroll between pages and then go back to the page, the site selected finally shows.
This problem does not occur in previous FF for Mac versions, FF 7.0 for Windows, Safari or other browsers, so it is a FF 7.0 for Mac problem.
WILL SOMEBODY PLEASE HELP!
In firefox 7 the link called unsorted bookmarks that appears at the bottom of the bookmarks drop down menu (on my windows machine) is not a folder that will open up when you move the mouse over it. It is now a link that opens the bookmarks librabry with the group "unfiled bookmarks". If you want to have a folder that shows all the unsorted bookmarks then you can make a smart folder for it. A smart folder is a bookmark that uses a place: url.
Use for the location:
place:folder=UNFILED_BOOKMARKS

Somehow, I fixed everything by deleting a link in the unsorted bookmarks. I was suspicious of that link because I don't know how it got there and I thought that it should have been in one of the folders that didn't work. Now all my folders in the pull-down bookmarks menu are functional, i.e., they all open up when when I pass the cursor over them. Hope the Mozilla developers can figure this out.
