Firefox rends Facebox improperly on my home desktop running Windows 7. I want to do a complete uninstall, but it doesn't let me.

I have tried uninstalling Firefox multiple times to fix this issue, but I can't. Every time Firefox loads Facebook, it rends the page wrong, so that the blue bar occupies half the screen. For a while I got around it by using Nightly, but Nightly just started doing the same thing. I have tried to uninstall Firefox completely, but even when I do an install, it finds all my old settings.

If you have increased the minimum font size then try the default setting "none" as a high value can cause such issues.

  • Tools > Options > Content : Fonts & Colors > Advanced > Minimum Font Size (none)

Make sure that you allow websites to choose their fonts.

  • Tools > Options > Content : Fonts & Colors > Advanced > [X] "Allow pages to choose their own fonts, instead of my selections above"

Reload web page(s) and bypass the cache.

  • Press and hold Shift and left-click the Reload button.
  • Press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
  • Press "Cmd + Shift + R" (MAC)

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
