After upgrading from 10.0.1 to 10.0.2, the functionality to show the windows and tabs from the previous session stopped working and it just opens the home page.

In 10.0.1, closing Firefox with multiple tabs open will just close it. Upon relaunching, all the tabs from before are shown.

In 10.0.2, closing Firefox with multiple tabs open pops up the message that I'm about to close multiple tabs. Upon relaunching, it launches only the home page.

Use "Firefox/File > Exit" (Mac: "Firefox > Quit"; Linux: "File > Quit") to close Firefox if you are currently doing that by clicking the close X on the title bar.

Using the "Show my windows and tabs from last time" setting is a more reliable way to restore session data.

  • Tools > Options > General > Startup: "When Firefox Starts": "Show my windows and tabs from last time"

Make sure that you do not use "Clear history when Firefox closes" to clear the Browsing History.

  • Tools > Options > Privacy: History: [X] Clear history when Firefox closes > Settings

Thanks for the response. I closed Firefox by going to the Menu instead of clicking the X and it worked. Funny thing is when it reopened, there was a "hidden" page that opened that wasn't open before I closed it. It wasn't malicious or anything, but was just not open before. After that, clicking on X works just fine.

Odd, but my problem is resolved. Thanks!
